My grandfather was in an internment camp. He said the worst part was the fact that they always fed him rice and maple syrup for breakfast, and that he had to brush his teeth outside and it was cold

I miss my nana lulu. she was always there for me and she was the one taught me everything I know. she passed away one day my parents took me and my brothers to Walmart to get Christmas pictures with Santa when we came home we found out from lulus at home doctor that she passed away in her sleep from inturnal bleeding while we were gone. every time i see a store santa it brings back memories of that time my only regret is not being able to spend more time with her. i would give anything to spend one more day with my grandma

my Grandpa was born in 1895..In those days, many streets were dirt and sidewalks were wooden planks..He used to take a hammer and go to the sidewalk outside of a bar. As drunks the night before might stumble and fall…they often had loose change fall out of their pockets and down through the cracks between the boards. He would pry up the boards to find money.
My grandparents witnessed the MLK March on Selma. They were on a date

This made me feel sad. My grandmas didn’t take part in my upbringing, so there were no stories. I didn’t realize I was missing out on something nice and inspiring like that.

What’s inspiring in a story of a cheating grandpa?
unfortunately, none of my grandparents were healthy people. My family was fully dysfunctional. But I did learn how to take care of myself and for my own morals and values based on the life that I wanted to live, and the world that I want to see around me. I can say that my family taught me have not to be.
The first grandma was a badass
My grandparents have passed away and I do miss them.
I honestly thought I was watching a video on The New Yorker’s channel. I love the introduction of animation SP!
