  1. The broom with a cloth over it was my Mom’s ceiling cleaner for dust & cobwebs.
The "Swiffer" cleaning tools were not available when I was a child. Neither were the fancy microfiber cleaning cloths.
Mom just used old towels & clothes for cleaning cloths. For dusting, she used old socks when they wore out & had holes. Worked great. You just slipped the sock over your hand and dusted away.
I still use my Mom’s cleaning tools. Works just as well. I don’t have a bunch of extra cleaning tools to buy, and it saves money and storage space.

  2. So, I’ve been sing narrating when I clean my whole life, literally as long as I can remember. My mom cleaned houses for extra money and she would take me with her when I was really little. She’s never done the sing commentary and I’ve never known anyone else to do it. It’s pretty awesome to know im not the only one! 😂

  3. I live in Puerto Rico and we have power issues. The irony is that every time the power goes out we wait 15-20 minutes. Then hook up the backup battery and as soon as we reconnect the appliances, the power comes back up 😂. Or every time my husband wants to paint outside it rains. I love your advice, as a matter of fact I cleaned my washer today and your tip on the filter helped. Thank you so much! ❤

  4. I need help cleaning walls. My dog (German Shepard) gets his muddy paw prints on the walls, especially around my door. I feel like my time cleaning is always cleaning up after my dog. It’s sooo hard to keep up with him.

  5. With hack one, i realise it’s great for those with a decent sized kitchen. My galley kitchen is so tiny, I can just pull stuff out of the fridge and put it on the counter behind me without taking a step!

  6. I’m a clean nut and do most of the stuff exactly like you do, BUT I actually learned some tips! 1. dry sponge for the oven 2. I had never cleaned the seal of my dishwasher (yes, there was yuck!, I just did it) 3. I am going to hire a pro in the next couple of months to do my outside windows and screens because they are really dirty, but then I’m going to try your method and just keep my windows on a regular rotation, I’m thinking every 1-2 months. PS: I loved watching you clean, so relaxing, and your home is beautiful and relaxing. Super great video, thanks!

  7. Never learned how to do anything and now my house is always filthy even though I’m always cleaning. I’m learning lol

  8. Great video! Thank you! I got hired from a family to housekeep and yes I take care of my home of course but I’m trying to watch videos to not look like I don’t know what I’m doing lol

  9. For my walls I use the same Swiffer I have for floors and just go up and down on the walls. It works well for me

  10. I was really indignant when i realised that dust could collect on a vertical surface. But no amount of ranting about the ridiculous unfairness of it was as effective as giving it a wipe with a duster.

  11. Our dishwasher’s filter had two parts, and we didn’t know for THREE YEARS. Nothing could clean out everything that built up inside the machine, and we wanted a better one anyway. We prioritized getting a self-cleaning filter in our new one, and it has been SO worth it.

I know a new dishwasher is not possible for everyone. In that case, find the model number on the tag and look up the manual to learn how to clean your filter!

  12. If you are up for what I think is a fun way to better understand irony… There is an episode of Teen Titans Go, "Rain on Your Wedding Day" where he goes over the three types of irony. It is simple and fun learning. Season 6 Episode 6

  13. Tip for those gag inducing smells. Pop on a mask with a teeny drop of peppermint oil (a smear if toothpaste work in a pinch) before you start. It is what we do in the dental office if something is really bad smelling.

  14. Wow, those examples of "irony" were… terrible. I mean, I know there are different TYPES of irony, but unless sarcasm is a form of irony… those were NOT irony.

Situational irony would be like me saying "oh i never get sick" and then calling out of work the next day because I got food poisoning. Or a parent not liking the color blue and it being their child’s favorite color to the point of borderline obsession

  15. Yes like as soon as I get my hair done it rains and the curls drop. Kudos to you Cassie. I just realized I have been watching your videos daily and I realize I go through my cleaning routines laughing like you do it is because I’ve been watching you take such pleasure and joy and what you do God bless you. ❤ Joy is contagious. Keep it up.

  16. Thank you so much, Cas! I have seen progress in my house thanks to your tips, videos. I am already in the one month declutter chalenge, and I will start these when finish. Spring is one month ahead so this video come just in time 👌🏻

  17. Nice simple tips that most people over 40 have learned through experience. I watched your video "stuff I do not buy", right before I watched this. For a person that "did not buy paper towels, because they are waste", you sure used an entire roll of paper towels to clean your house! I guess it is all about creating content for followers and making money, and not a lot of honesty?

  18. Once, I saw a comedienne who said “none of those things in that song are ironic! They’re UNFORTUNATE. Like, that sucks.”

  19. When I clean my refrigerator, I use a TV tray table I can set everything on there I’ve got my hot water next to me I can get it done in a fraction of the time.

  20. I love your videos. I haven’t been on in a while. Also irony is situational. Example you’re a surgeon that has a fear of knifes and blood. Sarcasm is expressive. Like saying you had a great day even though it was awful. 23:52

  21. Irony occurs when one’s expectations of something differ from reality. For instance, in the episode of Disney’s Hercules called Hercules and the Secret Weapon, Aries expected the shot to hit Hercules, but it didn’t. Then he realized he had almost executed his own nephew, "The Son of Zues." And in the immortal words of the talking bow, "now that’s irony."

  22. I’ve been organising random hideaway boxes this afternoon & initially just let all the “adhd/tidying/organising” vids play automatically. I LOVED the story at the end of another, about your diagnosis journey & how it feels to NOT be on meds again 🤣😜. Then pretty much as soon as you started retching from the dishwasher and laundry filters, I got my booty in gear and did them BOTH in 5 minutes flat! Your humour & realness are super inspiring! Fortunately not much in the dishwasher, but I did find a tiny black hair tie, a plastic loop from the back on my bikini top, AND some tiny red rocks from my old flatmates clothes – He is a bricklayer! 😅 I feel SO empowered now, and will be reminding friends! (& setting reminders for monthly checks!) 😂❤🎉🎉🎉
